Press Release Follows:

REDMOND, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– With Mario™ and his Mushroom Kingdom pals on your side, why take up just one sport when you can play four? Launching today exclusively for the Wii™ system, the MARIO™ SPORTS MIX game invites players to enjoy the outrageous, fast-paced fun of four different sports – volleyball, basketball, hockey and dodgeball – each packed with imaginative twists and challenges.
>A lot of Atari 2600 gamers remember this title as "the game with roaming eyes and bats". Haunted House, the classic Atari game, will be making a comeback on the Wii, Xbox Live Arcade and PC, updated for 2010.

A lot of Atari 2600 gamers remember this title as “the game with roaming eyes and bats”. Haunted House, the classic Atari game, will be making a comeback on the Wii, Xbox Live Arcade and PC, updated for 2010.

According to an email from Atari:

Haunted House 1.0 became an instant classic when it hit the market in the 80’s. Teens and young adults were glued to their TV sets, with joystick in hand, as wondering eyes tried to survive Graves Mansion. It was the first survivor, search and escape, game that started a gaming genre explosion gamers thrive on today.

30 years later, Atari has given Haunted House a modern gameplay update mixed with the proven fun factor and suspense of the original blockbuster game. This classic game has been remade for a new generation authentic replication of arcade gameplay, rich 3D environments, interactive objects, dynamic storylines, and new characters. Just cool is the re-imagination? Check out these 5 new game screens! We line them up with the original Haunted House gameplay. The graphics are an upgrade, but the key game icons are still there!

Screenshots and gameplay trailer to follow after the break.

Avanquest has announced that one of the Hidden Mysteries games would be coming to the Nintendo DS and Wii, called Titanic Secrets of the Fateful Voyage, which was originally released on PC. The game is a cross between a proper adventure game and a hidden object game.

The game starts on April 10, 1912 as the HMS Titanic launches from Southampton docks and ends on the disastrous day of the ships sinking. During this time, the player deals with 20 levels of puzzles as they collect items such as photographs, cigar cases and compasses, which are then put in an inventory list and used to solve various puzzles within the puzzle.

Between puzzles, players will meet fellow passengers and explore a variety of locations on the famous ship, like the boiler room, the passenger cabins, the ship’s grand stairway, and of course the lifeboats, looking for hidden objects. Dialog choices give players options to follow different paths within the game and multiple endings are created based upon those choices.

Hidden Mysteries: Titanic Secrets of the Fateful Voyage will be released on the DS and Wii on July 30.

Avanquest Software Publishing is soon to release Hidden Mysteries: Titanic Secrets of the Fateful Voyage on the Nintendo DS™ and Wii™. Set on board the RMS Titanic on her fateful maiden voyage, this puzzle adventure game challenges players to explore and search the ship for hundreds of hidden objects. Time is critical as gamers must complete puzzles in a race against the clock before the vessel sinks to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean.

The game features 20 levels full of puzzles that gamers must decode in order to solve some of the mysteries behind the greatest maritime tragedy of all time. Meeting fellow passengers for help along the way, players must explore a variety of locations ranging from the boiler room and passenger cabins to the ship’s grand stairway, making it safely into a lifeboat before it’s too late.

Players follow the ship’s timeline from departure at Southampton docks on the 10th of April 1912 and are required to successfully complete puzzles and unravel secrets up to the tragic night of the 15th. Items collected such as photographs, cigar cases and compasses are added to an inventory list displayed on the bottom screen, these items can be dragged and dropped to the relevant area on the screen when needed to complete a puzzle.

Clicking on the map icon in the corner of the screen enables players to see which areas of the ship need navigating. A hint symbol is also available to help direct users to the location of objects in particularly complex and challenging levels. Players can also follow different paths within the game, which produce multiple unique endings depending on the choices made. Exclusive to the Wii™ edition are interactive puzzles using the Wii™ remote and an unlockable bonus level which takes you back below the seas to the Titanic wreck, nearly 100 years after the ship’s sinking.

Hidden Mysteries: Titanic Secrets of the Fateful Voyage is available on the Nintendo DS and Wii from the 30th July.

Bejeweled is celebrating its 10th anniversary and makes a debut on another platform. Players can now experience Bejeweled on the Nintendo Wii and the game has been redone to work on the Nintendo Wii console.

The concept of the game is still the same, with players having to match three or more of the same colored gems to clear them off the board, but the game play has been adapted for the Wii. Bejeweled 2 has Mii integration that lets players have their Mii with them while they play. The Mii will react to good matches and keep track of your stats. There are local and global leader boards and there are four different control modes. Players can use the Wii mote, the classic controller or the Nunchuck.

“Bejeweled 2 for WiiWare delivers a host of exclusive features and capabilities that take full advantage of the Nintendo Wii, and catapult the Bejeweled franchise to new heights,” noted Ed Allard, head of worldwide studios at PopCap. “Along with enthralling gameplay from the original Mac/PC versions, the Wii version integrates customizable Mii characters and global leaderboards, and uses unique control systems that feature the Wii Remote – all of which add new dimensions of fun and excitement to the Bejeweled experience.”
