Tap Tap Bar Review

Tap Tap Bar is a time management type game for the iPhone or iPod Touch. The game has an alcohol theme and requires players to serve drinks to the customers. Customers come in and want certain drinks. The drinks are displayed as little pictures next to the customer’s picture. Players have to select the drinks the customer wants and deliver them to the customer.

The drinks are on the side of the screen and the player has to select the drink from the side of the screen by touching the drink. The customer could want three drinks at once, which means the player has to touch all three drinks and then touch the customer to deliver the drinks. The customers have money by their pictures to indicate how happy they are with the service.

The drinks are randomly placed on the screen so it is possible to have a customer asking for a drink that is not on the screen. If this happens, the player has to shake the phone or iPod to place new drinks on the side of the screen. Each time a drink is used a new drink will fill its place.

The game is free to play, but if the player wants more than one level, they must purchase the full version from within the game.

Over all, Tap Tap Bar is fun and entertaining. The levels can be challenging to deliver all of the drinks without losing customers. The drink selection is random, which makes some levels easier than others. If you happen to get a good drink mix, the player can breeze through the level. If you are looking for an entertaining time management/puzzle game for your iDevice, check out Tap Tap Bar in the Apple App Store.

Hextacy Review

Hextacy is a puzzle game for Android phones. The goal of the game is to match three or more of one color of hexagon to clear them off the board. Once all of the matches have been made, the hexagons that remain on the screen, turn dark and can not be used and another set of hexagons fall into place. The player continues matching three or more of one color until there are no matches left and the game is over.

Players are trying to score the highest score they can. The more matches the player can clear at one time the more points they will attain. The higher the level they can achieve will lead to more points as well. The levels get more difficult as you get further into the game. Players have to contend with the hexagons that weren’t matched from the previous rounds. The hexagons only go dark for one round, which gives players a chance to match them next round. There are power ups spread through out the level, as well to help players out.

Hextacy is a simple, but fun and entertaining game. The game shines when you are trying to beat your own or a friend’s high score. Any player will be able to figure out how to play the game, but it will take many games to be able to master the game. If you are looking for an entertaining, yet easy to play puzzle game, check out Hextacy in the Android market place.

Slice HD Review

Slice HD is one an iPad game that you won’t want to touch. There are a few different types of blades arranged around the screen and the player has to carefully move the blades away from a button that is hiding under the blades. The button will open up and turn to orange when all of the blades have been moved out of the way. The catch to the game, the blades will cut your fingers if you touch the sharp edge and blood will squirt onto the screen.

Slice HD combines a puzzle game with a twister type game for your fingers. There are different levels that require you to move multiple blades at once, which requires the player to place their fingers on multiple blades at a time and maneuver them in a way that does not cut them. It gets tricky to move the blade and not get cut at times. There are levels that will have blades that pop up from no where too.

On of the things I don’t particularly care for is, if you get cut you lose the level, but you also go back a level. Players find themselves playing the level before the level they are stuck on. It is possible to go all the way back to the beginning too. I think if you made it to a level and can’t pass that level you should be able to stay on the level until you figure out how to pass the level.

Over all, Slice HD is a fun and entertaining game. The levels increase in difficulty as you go on and it gets harder and harder to maneuver your hands to move the blades and not get cut. If players are quick, they will be able to figure out the puzzles and then get their hands to do what they need. If you are looking for a different type of puzzle game and don’t mind blood, check out Slide HD in the Apple App Store.
