Alfabetweter has announced the release of Antletics, a new interactive story for the iPad. The story was designed for the iPad and to be interactive with the user. The story is told in rhyming verse, contains animation and is an audiobook. Any age can interact with the story and learn about bugs.
The story is designed with learning in mind. There are little lice, yes lice are a bit gross, that will explain words to the reader. The reader simply tap on words in the text and a little lice pops up and explains the vocabulary word. The story takes place from an ants point of view. The ant takes a journey to find out what a white object is.
“I wanted to create a universe that brings fun into the hearts of children and their parents,” says Johan Veldeman, author of Antletics. “The children will enjoy the story while their parents can laugh with the hidden lice, depicting cultural icons from their childhood. The Antletics universe expands to the worldwide web with a website offering free goodies like wallpapers, e-cards and colouring pages.”
