PSP Minis may finally get their first must-buy title, as creator Joe Wee has announced that Angry Birds will be hitting the service, making the game available to PlayStation Portable users (and by extension PlayStation 3 owners as well.)

Angry Birds is a physics-based puzzle game in which players use their hardened avian bodies to demolish forts of varying sizes. The fortresses are manned by the enemy green pigs, who have stolen the birds’ eggs. And nothing makes a bird angrier than somebody messing with its unhatched young.

The translation will be interesting in that the Apple portable version makes heavy use of the touchscreen to fling the birds; the PSP has none.

The game is extended later this year. Let us know what you think.
