Stand O’ Food HD is a great puzzle/time management game for the iPad. Players have to make different types of meals for the waiting customers. The meals range from hamburgers to egg sandwiches. The player builds the order and then hands it off to the customer. The trick is the ingredient that is needed is not always on the front of the conveyor belt.

There are many time management style casual games, but this one is a bit different with the added puzzle element. Players have to balance building the order in a timely manner and finding the right ingredient. The ingredients are on multiple conveyor belts. Each conveyor belt has items in a different order. Players take those ingredients and build the order for the customer. The order needs to be built in the correct order. For instances, the bottom bun needs to be picked up before the hamburger or the top bun. If the top bun is picked up first, it will be used as the bottom bun and the order will not be completed correctly and won’t be handed to the customer.

There are plates and other items that can help players manage the ingredients on the conveyor belt. If there is no bottom bun on the front of the conveyor belts, players can pick up an ingredient that may be blocking a bottom bun or any other needed ingredient and move it to a plate on the counter. The ingredient stays on the plate on the counter and opens up the needed ingredient to be used in the order.

Players have to manage all the ingredients and keep the customers happy. If the customers wait too long, they become unhappy and will eventually leave your restaurant. If the customers leave, then the player loses money and may not make enough money to complete the level. There are items, that can be purchased, to help with the mood of the customers. After each level is complete, the player has an option to purchase items to make their restaurant better or make themselves serve orders faster.

The graphics in the game are great. The resolution is big enough to accurately touch the items without touching something unintended. The touch mechanisms work well and the touch was always recognized.

Over all, Stand O’ Food HD is a great game concept and vastly entertaining. It is one of those games that has you saying one more level, one more level and before you know it you have wasted an hour playing the game. Of course, there is the option to play the game in short spurts, which makes it a good game to play to pass the time while waiting. There are many time management games on the market, but this one brings something different with the added puzzle element.
