A Tale in the Desert

A Tale in the Desert is a unique MMO game that is based more from a social aspect. The massive multi-player online (MMO) game is not one big game, but a collection of mini-games. Players can build their own world from scratch and move the game along at their own pace. The only thing limiting the story is the pace of the player.

There are two stories going on at the same time and this is the first time this is taking place. The new server runs the second story and the first server runs the original story. The other feature that sets this game apart from other MMO games is there is no combat and death occurs very rarely.  The game is based on trade skills and players will find it easier to work with other players, but it is not required.  If players choose, they can go against the crowd.

If you like MMO games that don’t require you to run around and fight things, but concentrate more on the social aspect, check out A Tale in the Desert.

99Games has announced the release of Create a Mall for the iPhone/iPod Touch. The game is a building simulation game and requires players to fill the mall with stores people want to shop at and will spend their money at. It is not good enough to just get one mall up and running, players have to create thriving malls across six different cities.

Players take on the role of Kelly, an up and coming mall developer. As the players complete the levels, they will earn money and can spend that money on jewelry, clothing or office decorations. Players will have the chance to earn shopping credits, as well, but they have to make the goal of the level or will not be rewarded with the shopping credits.

”We are very excited to work with 99Games on the iPhone version of Create A Mall, the game did wonderful as a casual download and the iPhone should extend this IP to millions of new customers,” said Lloyd Melnick, CCO at Merscom.
