Avenue Flo is an adventure game for the PC or the Mac. The goal of the game is to save the biggest wedding in Diner Town. There is a lot banking on this wedding, the happiness of Mrs. Big and Tony and the wedding planner reputation of Quinn. If Quinn can get this wedding to go off with out any problems she will be THE wedding planner in Diner Town. The only problem is the wedding is off to a horrible start. Quinn calls her good friend Flo to help her solve all of the wedding issues.

Players take on the role of Flo as she attempts to save the day. It looks like there is someone that has been sabotaging the wedding and everything that was ready to go, such as the butterflies and the rings for the wedding are now missing. There are a few items to locate before the wedding starts and it is up to Flo to locate these items. Flo solves each task by solving puzzles. There are a few major tasks to solve, but along the way other people around town give Flo more tasks. The additional tasks Flo gets is, usually, because someone in town is having another issue and Flo needs to solve that issue before being able to complete a big objective in the game. All of the tasks are kept in a journal for easy access.

The solution to most tasks is solving some sort of puzzle. The puzzles throughout the game are different and not the same puzzle over and over. The puzzles can be vastly different from each other, such as finding the correct chicken in a “Where’s Waldo” type searching game or beading a wedding dress using the beads that are coming down in a certain order. Players have to use the beads in the order they come down and figure out how to make the pattern work.

The graphics in Avenue Flo are typical Diner Town graphics. They are clear and crisp, but on the cartoonish side of things. The graphics stay the same across many of the Diner Town games.

Over all Avenue Flo is a fun adventure game. The adventure mode in the game is not too long and can be completed in a few hours. The game is extended by the activity mode, though. Activity mode contains all of the puzzles from the game in increasing difficulty. The puzzles start out fairly easy and get harder as they progress. Each puzzle has an expert, good and not bad “score”. The different ranks are based on the amount of time it takes to solve the puzzle. If you like adventure games that progress using puzzles, you can’t go wrong with Avenue Flo. The game contains a variety of puzzles and the puzzles aren’t too challenging and frustrating the player. There is a good mix of challenge and fun.
