G5 Entertainment has announced the release of Mahjongg Artifacts for the iPhone/iPod Touch. Mahjongg Artifacts takes players on an adventure through the great game play of Mahjong.

Players are taken on an adventure in the search for treasure. The adventure takes player and their partner, Mark Hawk, through five different exotic locations and 25 different puzzles. After the quest in complete, there are two other modes to challenge players. More modes means more game for your money. There is an endless game mode and a classic game mode.

October 15, 2009 G5 Entertainment announced today that Mahjongg Artifacts, prequel to Mahjongg Artifacts: Chapter 2 is now live on the App Store.

In Mahjongg Artifacts traditional tile-matching action is turned into a thrilling adventure, featured in the Story mode of the game. Together with the archeologist Mark Hawk one embarks on a quest for treasure pursuit of legendary relics. Wandering around 5 exotic locations and solving 25 puzzles a player enjoys captivating graphic novel until all artifacts are collected.

When the quest is completed, there are two more modes to challenge one’s strategic thinking: Classic, with 100 layouts and selection of 5 tilesets and Endless, with ever-rising tower of tiles. Apart from thought-through gameplay, variety of difficulty levels and special flavors like Power Tiles and bonuses, the game has to offer wealth of visual and audio effects.
