DotEmu has announced the release of Golvellius: Valley of Doom for the iPhone and iPod Touch. DotEmu specializes in bringing back retro games and this time they have chosen the iPhone/iPod Touch as the platform to release the game on. The game is said to be the Sega Master Systems answer to Zelda.

The evil Golvellius has kidnapped the princess and has decided to spread evil through out the valley. Players take on the role of the knight, Kelesis, as he tries to save the valley from the evil and save the princess. There are seven caves standing in the players way. Some caves are opened by beating the demon in front of the cave and other caves are opened when players locate the trigger object. Players have the option of buying helpful items, such as items to improve your strength, with crystals that are gained by defeating the demons.
