WaveNest Innovations has announced the release of BabyBuilding for the iPhone/iPod Touch. The gist of the app is to take two pictures of people, either taken with the camera or stored on the device, and merge them to see what your baby would look like. The app has an easy to use interface to load your new bundle of joy onto social media sites, such as Facebook.
BabyBuilding uses facial mapping that focuses on the eyes, nose, mouth and chin and the distance between those facial features. The app takes that data and figures out what a child between the two pictures may look like. This could be a fun app to play around with. Especially if you have that person you have been dreaming about, you can now figure out what your babies may look like.
“Unlike a few similar applications, BabyBuilder is meant to offer a reasonable digital animated likeness of a potential infant baby, built using photos of two individuals based off complex facial and color (relative skin tone) recognition algorithms, while keeping true to the nature of the application – entertainment and the ability to share socially,” said Nathan Gustafson, CEO of WaveNest Innovations.
