BurgerTime Deluxe is the sequel to BurgerTime, which was originally released in the arcades way back when. Now gamers can enjoy the game on their PC. The goal of the game is to build burgers, but it is not as easy as it sounds. There are quite a few enemies trying to stop players from completing their burgers.
Players can choose to play as Sally Salt or Peter Pepper to help their uncle combat Vinnie Vinegar. Vinnie wants to see the world eating hot dogs and hot dogs only. He does not want people eating hamburgers. Vinnie has sent his goons to stop your uncle from making hamburgers, which would cause his shop to go under. Players pick the character they would like to play, which is a bit different from the original game where players could only play as Peter Pepper.
The burgers are assembled by walking over the pieces, which causes the pieces to drop a level. Players have to get each part of the burger down onto a plate waiting below. The pieces of the burger are spread through out multiple levels. Players have to walk over each piece, but players do not have to clear the piece below a piece first. If a piece falls onto another piece, it will cause the second piece to fall down a level.
The goons are looking to stop the players from completing the burgers. Players have to climb up levels finding the pieces of the burger, but hot on their tales are the goons sent by Vinnie Vinegar. Players have to stay away from the goons or they will die. Players only have three lives before the game is over. The game over is not as bad as in the arcade, players do not start back at the beginning of the game. Players will start at the beginning of the level.
The graphics are nice and clear, but the levels don’t always fit on the screen in full screen mode. The level will, usually, scroll up or down automatically, but sometimes it won’t scroll and that gets annoying. Players can scroll the level by pushing the mouse to the top or bottome of the screen.
BurgerTime Deluxe is fun, but offers a good amount of challenge. The game is not over challenging and provides a good mix of challenge and fun. The enemies get numerous as the levels progress and the enemies get better at locating where you are on the screen. Players get pepper to throw at the enemies to get past them. Players can also drop the ingredients on the enemies causing them to disappear for a bit. If you are into platformer/puzzle games, you can’t go wrong with BurgerTime Deluxe.

I have to try this soon.
