Normally, detective agencies take themselves pretty seriously and work hard at uncovering the mystery presented to them, but that is not the case in DinerTown Detective Agency. PlayFirst announced the release dates for DinerTown Detective Agency. Gamers that subscribe to the PlayFirst PlayPass will be able to download the game on June 23. If you do not have a PlayFirst PlayPass, you will be able to download the game on June 25. The game will be available for both the PC and the Mac.
DinerTown Detective Agency takes players to twenty different new locations in DinerTown to solve quirky “who dun it” mysteries. The game takes the no nonsense approach of mystery games and turns it around for players to solve silly cases like “Who stuck their finger in all the jelly donuts?” and “Who’s ordering pizzas to my house from the worst place in town?”. The cases may be silly, but they lead to a bigger mystery plaguing DinerTown.
“With DinerTown Detective Agency, we decided to present a fresh angle on the hidden object genre and entertain players in a challenging but uniquely satirical way,” said Kenny Shea Dinkin, vice president and creative director, PlayFirst. “Players will experience the comic irony in every aspect of the game including design, color, storyline, dialog, music and characters.”
DinerTown Detective Agency sounds like a fun take on the hidden object mystery genre. Sometimes it is nice to have games switch up the story line and approach the story line with a fun and entertaining perspective.
