Color Lines is a puzzle game for the iPhone/iPod Touch. The goal of the game is to get five of the same color balls in a line. Color Lines is a popular game in Russia and has made it’s way to the iPhone/iPod Touch.
The first thing to come to mind when hearing the game description was a marble popper type game, but that is not the case at all. Color Lines is a matching game, but not a marble popper game. The game is played on a grid and each time the player moves a ball to attempt to make a match more balls are added to the board. The goal is to beat the score of the King. The King’s score changes each time you beat him.
When the game starts out, there are randomly placed balls on the grid. The balls on the screen have random colors, as well. Players have to attempt to line up five or more balls of the same color by moving balls around the board. Each time a ball is moved and a match is not made more balls are placed on the grid. If a match is made, balls are not placed on the game board that turn. As you may expect, the more balls placed on the board the harder it is to maneuver the balls around and make matches. Players move the balls around by touching the ball and then touching the square the ball will be moved to. The ball will move to the touched square as long as there is a clear path to do so.
Over all, Color Lines is a great puzzle game. Each game is different because the colors of the balls are random. There are games that may not work out due to the placement of the balls and the particular colors, but the next time through the game may be beat easily. If you like puzzle games, you can’t go wrong with Color Lines.
