Gamenauts, Inc has partnered with  Destineer and Magellan Interactive to bring their hit PC game, Cate West – The Vanishing Files to the Nintendo Wii. The hidden object game was a huge hit on the PC and should be just as big a hit on the Nintendo Wii, since the Nintendo Wii has attracted a wide casual games audience.

Players control the main character, Cate as she tries to solve cases using her pre-cognitive abilities. The deeper she gets into the cases the more she realizes all of the cases have a connection with her fathers death. The cases have a tie in with the biblical story of the Three Magi, as well. Cate has to figure out what it all means by finding the clues.

Hidden object games are a lot of fun and I think make a better fit on the Nintendo Wii than the Nintendo DS just based off the size of the screen. The games are fun on both platforms, but the TV is bigger and makes finding objects a bit easier.

SAN JOSE, California – March 18, 2009 – Gamenauts, Inc. is proud to announce the upcoming release of the enhanced version of its hit game, Cate West – The Vanishing Filesô, on the Nintendo Wiiô based on a new partnership with Destineer and Magellan Interactive.

Released on the PC gaming portals in 2008, Cate West has become one of the big hits in the popular hidden objects genre, thanks to its high production values, engaging storyline and gameplay innovations.

Players assume the role of Cate, an author with pre-cognitive abilities, as she tries to solve a series of cases dubbed The Vanishing Files. She soon discovers a connection between these cases and the death of her father, and how it all ties to the biblical story of the Three Magi.

Published by Destineer, the Nintendo Wii version of the game offers brand new features such as the ability to play with multiple players, clearing dust and cobwebs to find evidences and zoom-in functionality.
