Silverlight Tower Defense

Silverlight Tower Defense, as the name implies, is a tower defense game written in Silverlight. This tower defense game is a bit different from other tower defense games. The goal is to defend your area from the onslaught of 100 different waves of enemies. The difference is the path is a simple fastest straight line path from the beginning to the exit. tower-defense

The exit and entrance is marked by gaps in the borders of the game board. The “monsters” come in and head straight for the exit, but they are extremely strong. I played multiple times and I have yet to be able to kill the first wave of monsters. Usually, the first few waves are the “give me” waves that allow players to test out their strategies. Not with Silverlight Tower Defense. Strangely, the enemies do get a little easier as the waves continue and I was able to kill some and gain money to add new towers and upgrade my current towers.

I was slightly annoyed by not being able to see where I can place my towers and where I can’t. Other tower defense games I have played show some way, like a green box or red box, that let you know where you can place your towers and where you can’t. Silverlight Tower Defense does not include a feature like this. The player knows they can’t put a tower down when they click and nothing happens.

Silverlight Tower Defense is a challenging tower defense and definitely tests players strategies. The challenge is tough in the beginning and then gets less intense in a few following waves, but players only get twenty lives before the game ends. If you are looking for a good, challenging tower defense game, chcek out Silverlight Tower Defense.
