Whitebear has put a spin on Suduko and added a ball like interface as well as a story line. Instead of playing Sudoku on a flat board, Whitebear and publisher Playlogic have decided to take it to another level and put the Sudoku boards on a ball. The ball can be rotated to access other playing boards in Sudoku Ball – Detective.

The game concept is interesting and takes a bit getting use to. The ball adds an added challenge of seeing the numbers and lining them up correctly with your eye. The concept of flipping boards is nice because if you get stuck you can move on to solving a different set of puzzles. Each set of puzzles will help players solve a clue. The clues will lead players to the person that committed the murder.

Sudoku Ball – Detective will be available for Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS and the PC in the second quarter of 2009.  If you are curious about the game play, head over to the web site and play a flash demo.
