There are many spot the difference games out there, but Photo Spot is a bit different because it is for the iPhone/iPod Touch. I like spot the difference types of games, but I was a bit weary about one for the iPhone/iPod Touch. The idea seemed great since the device is a good match for that type of game, but my concern was the screen size. The screen is not that big and then the screen would be cut in half to accommodate two pictures side by side. All my reservations were put to rest by Photo Spot. The developers did a good job with screen real estate.
Spot the difference games requires the player to, you guessed it, spot the differences between the two pictures presented. Players see two pictures side by side and have to figure out the differences between the photos. The photos contain small differences that can be fairly difficult to spot. The differences in Photo Spot differ depending on the picture. Some pictures the differences were fairly easy to spot and in other pictures they were pretty challenging to spot.
Every time players spot a difference, the difference is circled and game play continues. Players have to find all the differences before time runs out. If time runs out and all of the differences are not found, the game is over. Players can add their names to the high score list, if they achieved a high score.
The pictures are drawn at random so you can play the game over and over and not see the same picture. Random pictures are a must in a game like this. If players are having trouble with one picture, they don’t want to keep playing that picture over and over again. Photo Spot does provide
three hints for players to use. The hint is not so much of a hint as it is the answer. The hint buttons will circle a difference in the picture. There are only three hints for the entire game span so they should be used wisely.
The graphics in Photo Spot are great. The photos are realisitc and some of them are really challenging to find the differences. The photos are easy to see and players can clearly determine the differences. They will not be hindered by the graphics.
Over all Photo Spot was a fun game and definitely worth the .99 cents. The .99 cent price tag is an introductory price and will increase in the furture. Even with a price tag above .99 cents, Photo Spot would be worth it because there is a great balance between fun and challenge. There are enough pictures to keep gamers interested and having fun. Great post. I am just starting my blog as well. Do you find it hard to have something to say, because I don’t feel like natural writer and it seems to come natural for you.
