Casebook, for the PC, is a Detective themed puzzle game from Areo-Cinematic Games. In it, you and your partner must help solve a kidnapping. At each crime scene you use your camera to photograph the evidence, then play a number of different forensic themed mini games to learn all you can from your clues.
The graphics in Casebook are nothing short of impressive. Casebook uses cut scenes filmed with live actors, and photo realistic images of the crime scene to help bring a certain sense of realism to the game. The acting is superb for a video game, and adds to rather then detracts from your gaming experience. You won’t be pulled out of the zone by cheesy dialog or awkward line delivery.
On the surface, the game play maybe a little more involved, but once you get into it, you’ll find that the mini games are less about manual dexterity and more about replicating the “feel”of working in a forensics lab. Matching up finger prints, shinning a UV light, playing with test tubes, etc.
If you finish up Casebook and are still looking for more, then you are in luck. This is only episode one. At least four more are planned, so you should have plenty to keep your inner CSI happy. Casebook retails at $9.99 and can be found here.

This was fantastic! Honestly, it was different and at first i thought it was weird, but then i totally got into it. The story is great, and the rooms are fully real and you can move around. Only complaint is the length, it’s short, but was really like being in Bones or CSI. Can;t wait for the next one.
