Chicks on the Loose is an arcade style game for the iPod Touch and iPhone. The goal of the game is to reunite the baby chickens with their Moms. Players know which chick belongs to which mother by the color of the chick. The chick needs to be reunited with the same color mother. Players reunite the babies and their mothers by dragging the baby chicks to their mothers.
There are no levels in Chicks on the Loose the game continues on until you die. The game ends, a.k.a. you die, when a baby chick turns red and you have not reunited the chick with their mother. The chick will start crying and the game is done.
There are not any levels in the game, but there are three different modes of play, easy, medium and hard. The easy mode has two mother chickens, each a different color, that need to have their babies matched to them. The medium mode has four mother chickens, two chickens are one color and two chickens are another color. The hard mode has four mother chickens all of different colors. Their are more baby chickens that need to be matched to their mother chickens in the two harder levels.
With so many baby chicks on the screen, in the harder levels, it gets difficult to select the correct chick. There were a few times when I thought I had a white chick, but had picked up a brown chick. If you match the wrong chick to the wrong mother, a few of the baby chicks, already matched, leave the nest.
Like any good arcade game, this game offers bonuses to help the player out. The bonuses can come in handy with all of the chicks on the screen. The bonuses are used by dragging them to a mother chicken and then double tapping the bonus. The bonuses will stop the baby chickens and other bonuses will heard all of the chickens to their mothers.
Chicks on the Loose is a fun game to play. As the game goes on, it gets more and more challenging, but stays fun. The number of baby chickens that need to be matched to their mothers gets crazy. The more chickens the players can manage to match the more points they gain. At the end of the game you can add your name to the high scores list, if you can get enough points.
Chicks on the Loose is well worth the $1.99 and can be bought on the Apple App Store.
