Zoo Vet Endangered Animals is a simulation game for the Nintendo DS. The goal of the game is to take care of endangered animals. Players get a quick run down of the symptoms the sick animal has and then they have to take the proper steps to diagnose the animals problem.

The catch to diagnosing the problem is players have to know the proper steps to take. There is a hint option and players can get a hint by pressing the “x” button. After the first diagnosis, the player gets the gist of the pattern to follow. All of the diagnosis start out using the stethoscope to determine if the heart rate of the animals sound normal. Then they move on to the part of the body that is bothering the animals. The player has to take all of the right steps and are lead to the correct steps with dialog. As you progress through the game, you move up in level and eventually become a vet.

The stethoscope is a little difficult to get use to. The player has to hit a box as a little green dot gets to the top of the triangular peak. The first time I tried the stethoscope it took me forever to hit the square at the correct time. The more animals I diagnosed the easier it was to hit the square at the right time.

Zoo Vet Endangered Animals offers mini-games to play along with the vet simulation game. The mini-games teach players about the endangered animals as well as just plain entertain. There are trivia questions that players can answer as well as games like feeding penguins.

The graphics in Zoo Vet Endangered Animals are clear and real life like. The animals look just like they would in real life. The tools used to diagnose the animals are easily discernable and contain tool tips to make extra certain players know what they are.

Zoo Vet Endangered Animals is a fun game and definitely worth buying. The game contains all types of different games and ways to pass the time. There is something there for everyone and the main vet simulation is really fun and entertaining.
