Platypus Expanding Phone Compatibility

Astraware and Idigicon announced the release of Platypus for S60, UIQ and BlackBerry smartphones. Platypus was released earlier this year for Windows Mobile and Palm OS devices.

Platypus started out as a PC and Mac side scroller shooting game, but has made it’s way onto mobile phones. The one big difference that sets this game apart from other shooting games, is the world is made entirely out of soft squishy clay.

The shooter takes place in Collosatropolis, where Collosotropolan leaders have used all of their available space so they decide to invade the neighboring town, Mungola. As you may have guessed, your mission is to save Mungola from the invading Collosotropolans.

Platypus sounds like a fun game for shooter fans. You can’t go wrong with side scrolling games. Side scrollers bring back the olden days of gaming.

They don’t anticipate much of a struggle as Mungola’s entire defence force consists of a single squadron of fighter planes - the venerable F-27 ‘Platypus’.

Your mission is to pilot your trusty Platypus and save peaceful Mungola! Fly across the squashy fields and trees, avoid the snowy mountains and protect your planet. Shoot down the enemy ships and marvel as they disappear in a splat! Collect fruit bonuses and a range of power-ups to aid you in your quest!
