FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) signed a multi-year licensing deal with Real Networks to develop the hit TV show Million Dollar Password into a casual game for the PC, Mac and mobile phones. The first version of the game will be for mobile phones.Million Dollar Password

“Working with a cross-platform leader such as Real was an obvious choice when looking at how we wanted to take this leading game-show property to the next level,” said Olivier Delfosse, the senior manager of interactive for the Americas at FME. “We couldn’t be happier to be working together, bringing the program to loyal fans and new audiences, especially after such a successful summer series.”

I was excited when I saw the previews for this show. I tuned in when it launched and I was a bit disappointed, I didn’t think the show was nearly as exciting as it looked in the previews. I was a fan of the show Pyramid, way back when and this show reminded me of that show. It really wasn’t like that show though. The show will probably make a good casual game, though. Million Dollar Password can easily be adapted to short bursts of game time.
