Sega of Europe and Sega of America both announced Sonic and the Black Knight, the next chapter in Sonic’s life and found exclusively on the Nintendo Wii. Sonic has to earn the right to be a Knight by helping to save the day.
As with any Sonic game, Sonic and the Black Knight promises to be fast paced. Sonic finds himself in the land of Arthurian legend, armed with a sword and ready to combat the enemies. Sonic goes on a series of missions to to help save the day and become the ultimate Knight.
“After the success of Sonic and the Secret Rings we’re delighted to announce a second title in the Storybook Series,” said Gary Knight, European Marketing Director, SEGA Europe, “Following Sonic on his way to knighthood will excite players of all ages.
Sonic and the Black Knight sounds like a fun game, especially if you are a Sonic fan. The game does seem to be different for the little blue hedgehog and sometimes different is good for a franchise. We will have to wait and see if the medieval adventure is a good fit for Sonic.
The game is set to be released in the Spring of 2009.
