Koch Media has announced a range of games based on TV’s most popular game shows. The games are meant for family entertainment around the console, so it should come as no surprise that the games are coming out for the Nintendo Wii and DS. Koch will take the popular game shows on TV and turn them into a video game for the family to play.Koch Media

The new label focusing on the games is called As Seen on TV. The first game released will be a 3D version of Deal or No Deal. The 3D version is a follow up to the successful Deal or No Deal game released last year. Other games set to be released along side Deal or No Deal are Golden Balls, The Magic Roundabout and Are You Smarter Than A 10 Year Old?.

We are delighted to be launching the As Seen On TV range during the key Christmas retail period,” said Craig McNicol, Managing Director at Koch Media.“With its strong visual branding, competitive price point and superb line up of much-loved titles and TV personalities we expect this to be a massive hit with family audiences over the Christmas season.”

This is an interesting genre of games to focus on. It does make sense to focus on hit TV shows that are easily adapted into console games. Game shows already have a great following and brand recognition, so why not play off of that?

Thanks MCV
