Midway has not released too many games for the Nintendo DS, but that is about to change. Midway has announced More TouchMaster and MechanicMaster for the Nintendo DS. More TouchMaster is the sequel to TouchMaster and MechanicMaster is a new game.
The latest version of TouchMaster will offer a format similar to the first with 20 mini-games that fit into cards, puzzles, strategy and sports genres. PheonixSoft, the developers from the first version will be developing this version, as well so the game play and “feel” of the game should be similar. More TouchMaster was designed to appeal to the pick up and play gamer, other wise known as a Nintendo DS gamer. DS gamers like the appeal of games that can be easily played while waiting or driving long distances and easily put down when need be.
MechanicMaster is a game similar to The Incredible Machine, players have to use gadgets to make things happen and reach an end goal. Normally there are contraptions you get to use in each level to accomplish the goal. There are two different modes, Classic and Drawing mode. The Classic mode gives players access to items such as conveyor belts, spinning wheels, rubber bands, portals, gravity shifters and many more. The Drawing mode lets players come up with their own inventions to solve the puzzle. The drawing mode is linked to the level editor as well, allowing players to create their own levels.
I am really excited about MechanicMaster. I loved the The Incredible Machine and having a game that is similar in game play to that game is really exciting. Can’t wait until MechanicMaster is released this fall.
