Earth Defense is an action space game done in flash that also takes a bit of strategy. The goal of the game is to save earth form being hit by asteroids, satellites and other space debris. Players protect earth by using the moon to break up the asteroids and other objects trying to crash into earth. The moon is controlled by moving the mouse. Earth Defense

The levels start out fairly easy to get you use to the game. Each level the objects flying towards earth become faster and faster. The obstacle is space’s gravity or lack there of. If you quickly go to stop an incoming asteroid, your moon keeps flying even when your mouse stops. Players have to account for this and not move the mouse too fast or it is hard to get it back to hit the other objects. The earth can only be hit 5 times before the game is over.

In between levels, players can buy upgrades. The upgrades can slow down the asteroids, make the moon bigger, heal earth or speed up the moon. Strategy comes into play by picking the correct upgrade. Some upgrades help out better in certain levels. For instance, the asteroids in the higher levels move really quickly, so it makes more sense to buy the slow asteroids upgrade, but if earth has been hit you may want to buy the heal upgrade. As you can see, there are a few decisions to make.
