Astraware and Sandlot Games have announced the release of Westward for Symbian S60 and UIQ smartphones. The game was released earlier this year for Palm OS and Windows Mobile smartphones and PDAs and is now available for a wide array of smartphones.

Westward started out it’s life as a PC game, but has since been adapted to smartphones. Gamers can use the 5-way key controls or stylus to maneuver through the game. Players take a stab at building the Wild West. Players have to build functioning towns, explore uncharted areas in order to expand their towns and make sure the settlers are kept safe.

Westward offers four different locations to settle with 20 different levels that require players to survive disasters such as fire and drought. Players need to manage their resources or they will find themselves having trouble building a thriving town.
