Casual Games Meet Live Orchestras

Big Fish Games has teamed up with SomaTone Interactive Audio to bring a live orchestra to it’s latest casual game, Hidden Expedition: Amazon. The music in the game was produced by SomaTone Interactive Audio and the Berlin Film Orchestra. SomaTone Interactive

SomaTone managing partner, Kane Minkus, states, “We set out to show Casual Games can now have affordable soundtracks that provides gorgeous production values! Working with the orchestra to record this music was not only amazing in itself, but brought a dimension to the game that really complimented the already incredible artwork. Casual Game music really lends itself well to live orchestra performance and the audience is already responding. The title has sold really well since launch and users are enjoying an audio backdrop that helps to create a much more believable, cinematic, immersive world. Music can be an important part of a game and to have a live orchestra perform the music is really exciting. The music can add to the feel of the game. Orchestra music could be a great addition to a hidden object game. As players are searching for the object, it can be soothing to have good music in the background.

Hidden Expedition: Amazon, which was released Friday, June 21st, incorporates original music compositions, composed and recorded by the SomaTone Interactive Audio team, with the world famous Berlin Film Orchestra.
