Drops! is an arcade style matching game for the PC. The goal of the game is to get a high score by clearing away items of the same color. Players click on items of two or more of the same color to clear the color set away and gain points.

Items are cleared as long as they are in groups of two or more, but blocks of items can be cleared as long as they are touching. In other words, there can be two rows of one color that are connected by the same color and when you click on that bunch of colors they will all disappear. The more items cleared away at the same time the more points the player gains. Players gain a huge amount of points if they can clear entire rows. The rows are then replaced with brand new rows of colors.

Players need to put a little bit of thought into the color blocks that are cleared away because they could be ruining a color block that was above the color block that was cleared. If you are not careful, you could end up stranding one colored ball by itself with no matches.

There are really no levels in Drops!, but there are different colors you can attain as you match more colors. Each color achieved is at the top of the screen so the player is able to see how many colors they have achieved in the current game.

Drops! is an extremely addicting game. I managed to get a really good score the first time I played, but was not able to beat that score and it wasn’t from lack of trying. I kept telling myself one more time one more time and before I knew it a lot of time had passed. Drops! is definitely worth the $12.95.
