Big Fish Games has announced the release of The Sultan’s Labyrinth a hidden object game for the PC. The goal of the game is to find a suitable prince for princess Sadira. Prince Tallis seems like a good match for the princess, but he must prove himself. The sultan\'s Labyrinth

Players help Prince Tallis prove himself worthy of the princess’s love by locating hidden objects and solving puzzles. Instead of getting a list of object names, players have to match the silhouette of the object to the object itself. Gamers drag the item to the silhouette to make a match.

The Sultan’s Labyrinth puts a spin on the hidden object genre. There are 10 different puzzles that must be solved to progress the story line. In one of the puzzles, players must match four rings and four candles, put them on a green plate and light a fire. The fire triggers a chain reaction and progresses the story line.

The Sultan’s Labyrinth sounds like a great game for fans that enjoy hidden object games and maybe even for those gamers that want to try out a hidden object game for the first time.

Press Release Follows:

SEATTLE, WA–(Marketwire – May 22, 2008) – Big Fish Games™, the world’s leading online destination for casual entertainment, announced today the release of The Sultan’s Labyrinth, a new casual game available exclusively from Big Fish Games.

The Sultan’s Labyrinth is a Hidden Object game where players must search ornamented scenes to match shapes and solve a variety of puzzles.

In this Aladdin-spirited game, players must work to find a suitable prince for Princess Sadira. A contest is staged to select a man worthy of being her royal husband. Soon Prince Tallis emerges as a likely candidate, but first he must demonstrate his wisdom by solving puzzles within the Sultan’s Labyrinth.

Players will explore scenes to locate items and prove the suitor’s worth. Unlike many Hidden Object games in today’s market that provide a scroll or list of items to find, The Sultan’s Labyrinth prompts players to use a black silhouette to match the camouflaged items in the scenes. The shadow must be linked to the correct shape by clicking and dragging each puzzle piece to its fitting image.

Sultan of Persia draws upon the principal play mechanic of Hidden Object games, but adds more key creative nuances. For instance, three-hints-per-level is a common component in the genre, but in Sultan of Persia, players are engaged in a rich storyline and challenged with 10 detailed puzzles. Each puzzle contains fragments to a storyline with clues that need to be connected in order to progress. An example of this is found in Puzzle 3 where the player must pick four rings and four candles, put them into a green plate, and light a fire. This ignites a new chain of events.

Players who favor the Hidden Object element in The Sultan’s Labyrinth will also enjoy playing games like: Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst and other games in the Mystery Case Files franchise. Big Fish Games Studios is credited with creating and molding the Hidden Object genre, which is now the most popular category in the downloadable casual games business.

The Sultan’s Labyrinth is available immediately at www.bigfishgames.com. The trial version can be downloaded for free; the full version is available for $19.95 (U.S.).
