The Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes is a puzzle game by Legacy Interactive for the PC. The Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes takes players on a suspect hunt through multiple different cases. Players try and determine the culprit that committed the crime by solving hidden object puzzles, find the difference puzzles, memory games and match games. Each case has a different story with different suspects and different endings.

Each level starts out with a cinematic that explains the mystery at hand and then it is off to the races with 25 minutes to solve the entire case. Usually, 25 minutes is plenty of time to solve the murders and it really depends on how fast you can find the hidden objects and the differences between the two pictures. As the levels progress, the objects become harder and harder to find. Once you have determined the suspects through the hidden object and picture difference games, it is off to the suspect match and then the memory game. Each suspect has an item that made them a suspect in the first place. Players have to remember the item that lead to the suspect in a memory game. The item is changed for one suspect and you have to determine which item that was until you have only one suspect left and that person turns from suspect to the one that committed the crime.

There are a few mini-games scattered through out the levels. The mini-games are all different and have you matching pictures and even finding more hidden objects within pictures. There is usually one hidden mini-game in each unsolved mystery.

The graphics in The Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes are great. The hidden object games contain items that really blend in with the background and are difficult to find. The cinematics at the beginning and end of each level look great and are not cheesy. The voices match up with the lip movement.

The Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes is entertaining and a lot of fun. Anyone that enjoys playing hidden object games will really enjoy this game. The majority of the puzzles in the game are hidden object puzzles, but there are other puzzles to spice things up as well. The Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes is definitely worth the $19.95.
