Hands-On Mobile, Inc and Marvel Entertainment, Inc announce the release of Iron Man for mobile phones. Currently, Iron Man is available on a few carriers around the world, but is planned to roll out to more carriers in the next few weeks.

Players get to experience the life of Iron Man in this shootem’ up for mobile phones. Players shoot their way through four levels of action as they play through the levels based on the new Iron Man movie. Players collect power ups to increase the power of their weapons as they battle their way to the leader, Iron Monger.

“Hands-On Mobile has created wonderful games for us, including X-Men: The Last Stand and Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer,” said Simon Philips, President of Marvel International. “Both Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk mobile games promise to continue this success with nonstop action and fantastic gameplay. SAN FRANCISCO, April 30, 2008 - Ready your repulsor rays because Iron Man is coming to mobile! Hands-On Mobile, Inc., the world’s leading developer of connected games and applications, and Marvel Entertainment, Inc., today announced the availability of the mobile game and personalization content around the forthcoming big-screen adaptation of Marvel’s legendary Super Hero, Iron ManT. The game and content is currently available on select carriers around the world, and will continue to roll out to additional carriers in the coming weeks.

In the vertically scrolling shoot-’em-up Iron Man mobile game, players take control of the invincible Iron Man while fighting through four levels of nonstop action based on the upcoming movie starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow and Terrence Howard. Equipped with repulsor rays and the devastating unibeam, players will visit many locations, including those from the movie, while at the same time blasting away at enemy forces equipped with the weapons Tony Stark had himself developed. Iron Man must collect power-ups to increase the effectiveness of each weapon and destroy relentless waves of enemy units en route to a climactic confrontation with the world’s greatest new foe: Iron Monger!

Hands-On Mobile is also developing a mobile game and content around Marvel Studios’ upcoming film The Incredible HulkT distributed by Universal Pictures, which will hit the big screen on June 13. The mobile properties will launch in conjunction with the film’s release.
