Flash Game: Astro Attack

Astro Attack is a flash based game that has players defending Mars. A little different than other alien games, where usually you are defending Earth. The aliens attack Mars in waves and you have to successfully defend off 70 different waves to beat the game. When the ships escape your bullets, they hit Mars and do damage to Mars’ defenses. There is a meter at the top of the game board that shows the player how much defense they have left. Astro Attack

Players shoot at the aliens from two space stations, using the space bar to switch between stations. The stations rotate around Mars as the game progresses. The space stations seem to be in Mars’ orbit. There are certain areas of rotation where the ships are hard to hit because neither space station has a good shot. The bullets will curve around Mars as they are shot and you can get lucky and hit two waves of attacking ships from one round of bullets. As soon as the bullets hit a ship, the ship explodes.

The levels start out fairly easy and there are not too many attacking ships, but it doesn’t stay that way for long. Some waves have ships attacking from four different sides of Mars. Players have to rotate between space stations to keep all of the alien ships at bay. The ships also get faster and stronger as the levels progress. Most ships die after being hit with one bullet, but there are ships that take more than one bullet to kill.
