GMA Network Inc and IPVG announced their subsidiaries will form a joint venture company called I-Play. I-Play will focus on casual gaming and specifically online gaming. I-Play intends to design, operate and maintain gaming portals.
Both GMA Networks and IPVG will each have a 50% stake in the company. I-Play will start operation in the first quarter of 2008. I-Play will focus on casual downloadable games that are easy to pick up and play instead of MMO games. GMA Networks already has a few MMO titles they have released, but they are going to focus on the downloadable market.
