FXLabs, a leading developer in India, has entered an agreement to purchase the US based IMT Inc, which runs the site Knibble.com. Knibble.com is an online portal of free casual games. Knibble.com also has a site for Iphone and Touch Ipod games as well as games that are specifically designed for the Nintendo Wii browser. The acquisition price is USD $3 million in stock.
The acquisition gives FXLabs access to over 10,000 casual online games. Knibble.com has come a place where developers have gone to show off their capabilities at developing casual games. Registered users on the site are allowed to upload new games and write a description for the newly uploaded game.
Sashi Reddi, Founder and Chairman of FXLabs, stated, “With the acquisition of Knibble we have expanded our capability from being a game developer to a company that will be directly delivering world-class gameplay experience to consumers globally. We are extremely optimistic about emerging markets like India driving worldwide online game revenues, and we believe that this is a terrific move for both FXLabs and Knibble.”
