Kudos Rock Legend Review

Now is your chance to run a rock band and have it succeed in Kudos Rock Legend. Kudos Rock Legend is a rock band simulation game. You are in charge of running everything. You have to find band members, record songs, book gigs and rehearse songs.kudos rock legend

Kudos Rock Legend is a neat idea and gives you a look into running a rock band. You start out needing to find other band members to play in your band. The band members are chosen from three members. You can reject them all, but you still spent the money on the auditions. The three members that you interview for a position have different qualities about themselves. The most important detail to pay attention to is whether all of your band members will get along.

The practice area is the most interesting part of the game. The band needs to practice their songs and the band members automatically get practice when you go into this area. You need to practice, though. The song notes are displayed on the screen accompanied by a sound and number. A few notes at a time are displayed and then you need to play the notes back using the numbers that correspond to the numbers you just saw. The practice stops, for that part, when you miss notes.

You also need to write songs. You go into song writing mode and you take notes from yellow stickies and place them on the song sheet. There is a song quality percentage that goes up or down depending on the changes you make to the song. The song quality gets better when you can match notes in one bar to the next bar.

kudos rock legendThe items that you need to do that day are presented to you in a list. You choose what to do and then hit the button that says do it. This part of the game is a bit of a let down. The gigs that you need to attend just sort of happen. The list will have play a gig on it and you click the do it button and then it is done. You never see yourself in the gig area or anything to that nature.

The graphics in Kudos Rock Legend are good, but there are not many graphics in the game. There is the main game screen, which contains menus and pictures of your band members. The create a song screen contains notes in different colors. The rehearsal areas are nicely done, but are just small pictures on a screen.

Kudos Rock Legend is entertaining and a good look into what it is like to run a rock band. I am sure the game does not cover everything it takes to run a rock band, but it seems to touch on the important parts. Kudos Rock Legend is fun to play and very different from most of the casual games I have played and that is refreshing.
