Activision is teaming up with Aspyr to bring Guitar Hero III to the PC and Mac. The versions for the PC and Mac will be released the same time as the versions for the console systems.

The guitar will be a USB version of a Gibson guitar. There has been no word released yet regarding how they will distribute “downloadable” content, but we should know soon. Now Guitar Hero III will be released on almost all of the platforms including Nintendo DS, but they left out the poor PSP. Maybe that announcement will be coming soon.
