You find yourself shipwrecked on an island. Since you are shipwrecked, you have no money, no clothes and don’t know anyone on the island. You notice a sign for help at the local burger joint. They are thrilled you have come to help. So thrilled they give you their business. Now you are an owner of a burger joint in Burger Island.
Burger Island is a time management game with a bit of a spin. The different levels have you making different items. Some times you are making burgers. Other times you are making fries and still other times you are making milk shakes.
The customers come in and oder, but not in the traditional way. They don’t walk up to the counter. Their order appears at the top of the screen. You need to make their order in the same order is presented on the screen. For instance, if someone orders a hamburger and you put cheese on it the order disappears. You need to pay attention to what the customers are ordering, which can be a bit tricky.
As you progress through the game, you are able to buy new recipes. The recipes are harder to make, but cost more for the customer to purchase. The new recipes cost money but can also be bought at certain levels. You will see grayed out recipes. If you click on
the recipe, it will tell you what you need to get. There are recipes with question marks and those are super secret recipes that you can achieve.
The graphics in the game are very cartoon like, but it fits the game. The game takes place on an island and has a beach motif.
I found Burger Island fun and entertaining. You are not doing the same thing over and over again like most time management games. Each level has you making a different dish, which keeps the levels interesting. Another thing I really liked was the option to choose your difficulty. You could choose from kiddie size, regular or jumbo size.
