You are a renowned anthropology professor teaching at the local university. All of a sudden, a package is delivered and you have no idea how it got there or what it is. You unwrap the package and the mystery deepens. Next thing you know, you are on your way to South America figuring out the box. This adventure takes place Zoom Book – The Temple of the Sun.
Zoom Book – The Temple of the Sun is a unique puzzle game. As you are working through story mode, the story pages become the puzzles. The puzzles get challenging as they progress. The pages of the story become very intricate, which means they are harder to solve.
There are three difficulty modes to play in easy, medium and hard. I found the medium level to be fairly challenging. I had to switch the level to easy to be able to solve a few of the puzzles in the time limit that was allotted.
Each level is a page in the story mode. A story is told and then a piece of the page becomes the puzzle. To solve the puzzles, you switch pieces to put the in the correct place. As the story progresses, the puzzle pieces become smaller and more mixed up. You need to take a good look at the picture before you click the play button.
In the beginning of the game, only story mode is available to play. As you work your way through story mode, timed mode becomes available. All of the other modes are also opened by completing more of story mode. The other modes are puzzle mode, chaos mode and gauntlet mode.
The graphics in the game are good. The pages from the story are clear and easy to distinguish, which is important in a puzzle game.
The game is intensely addicting. I just kept play and playing. Zoom Book – The Temple of the Sun is a unique spin on a puzzle game that keeps you entertained and wanting to continue to play.
