Nickelodeon announced that they will be spending $100,000 on the online casual game market in the next two years. Nickelodeon has licensed some of it’s games to THQ in the past.

Nickelodeon will stick with the franchises that have been doing well. Stick with what isNickelodeon working for you. The first of a few initiatives will see Nickelodeon launching myNoggin, which will be a subscription based service. The service will be aimed at preschoolers and their parents. The games will be education based and give the parents a feature to track their children’s progress.

Early 2008 we will see another initiative entitled The-NGames. The-NGames will target teenage girls and contain games dealing designed around social orientation. Who knows about social happenings better than teenage girls? I know I was a teenage girl once. You love to spend time talking on the phone with your friends.

Nickelodeon will also offer a Nick Gaming Club. The club will feature multiplayer games, 3D avatars and community elements based on Nickelodeon properties.

Thanks Gamespot
