There is a new casual game starting on July 20th called The Golden Jigsaw Puzzle. The jigsaw puzzle contains 1,000 pieces. There are multiple objectives in this game. You need to complete the jigsaw puzzle, but you also need to find the pieces before you are able to complete the puzzle.

The pieces have been placed at various web sites that have paid to have the pieces placed there. It is advertising for the web site since you will need to visit that web site if you want to find the piece to your puzzle.

There are clues given to the website that contains the piece. The players will need to look around the site to actually find the piece of the puzzle. The clue will tell you how many pieces are on the website.

The first person to find all of the pieces and put the puzzle together correctly will win $1,000,000. Yes you read that correctly, you win $1,000,000 for putting together a jigsaw puzzle.

You need to register to play the game. Registering allows you to download a playing board. Your board is the carcass of your puzzle. Registering will also get you the clues via email. Not need to go to the site to get the clues. Once you find the puzzle piece, you can drag it to your board and then figure out where to put that piece.

This is an interesting idea for a game. Seems to me that it works out for a bunch of people, if it actually works. The inventor of the game gets money from the sites that pay for the puzzle pieces to be there, the player that wins gets money, and the sites that host the puzzle pieces get advertising. This could work out well for everyone. We shall see if works as well in real life as it does in theory.
