Square Meal is a cute casual game. The object of the game is to run around and eat monsters. Before you can eat the monsters, you need to stun them or they will eat you. Square Meal

There are rocks all around the level that the monster can pick up in his mouth and spit out at the monsters. The monsters are stunned when they are hit with the rock. While the monster is stunned you can eat it.

To clear a level you need to eat all the monsters in that level. As the levels progress there are more and more monsters. The challenge in the later levels is to eat the monsters before they wake up and before other monsters come and eat you.

There is also food items spread around the level. If you eat the food items they will give you extra points. Once you die and the game is over, you can submit your score.

I found Square meal cute and entertaining. There is enough challenge in the later levels to keep you coming back for more.

Reflexive Entertainment announced the release of Ricochet Infinity. Ricochet Infinity is a brick breaking game along the lines of break out, but with updated features. This is not just another brick breaking game. Ricochet Infinity is the fourth game in the Ricochet series.Ricochet Infinity

One of the new features of Ricochet Infinity is the ability to recall the ball. The ability to recall the ball allows players to bring the ball back to the paddle instantaneously and then control where the ball will go next. This kind of control makes it easier to hit those hard to get bricks that usually make break out games go on longer than the should.

Improving controls and redesigning how the game is played is only a part of the fun of Ricochet Infinity. The game also features an amazing array of destructive power-ups. Ball power-ups such as the rail, probe, laser, EMP, fire, acid, lightening and blossom ball, along with ship weapons including 3 different upgradeable gun types and an über-powerful nuclear beam, combine to arm players with an arsenal like no other.

There are also a ton of levels available to play. The number of levels are endless due to a really advanced level editor. Once you have completed the levels in the game, move on to conquer other player’s creations. Players can design, upload and download new levels without having to leave the game. Initially the game comes with 216 levels, but players can download 20,000 other free levels.

Ricochet Infinity has also introduced rings. The rings are another objective in the game besides just breaking all of the bricks. The rings mark players experience levels and allow players to unlock space ships the higher they progress. The space ships all have unique abilities.

With all of the new features in Ricochet Infinity, it is not just another brick breaking clone.

Chronos TwinsOxygen games announced the release of Chronos Twins for the Nintendo DS. The game is due out this fall. Chronos Twins is a platform game that sets Nec out to save the world he lives in.

Chronos Twins requires Nec to travel through time to save his world and avenge the death of his brother. While time traveling, the player will utilize both Nintendo DS screens.

To successfully complete levels, players must initially use both screens simultaneously as s/he plays across two temporal dimensions (past and present) in a bid to meet (and defeat) the nameless entity head-on when it first appears on Nec’s homeworld. Maneuvering through side-scrolling areas, the aim is to control both the present-time hero whilst exploring the planet’s past in order to conquer the alien threats.

The game was designed with a learning curve in mind. The game gradually gets harder so the beginning player is not left frustrated. Once out of the beginning stages of the game, the game gets challenging and ultimately the action that has taken place on both of the DS’s screens will merge into one screen.

Daycare Nightmare Review

Have you ever wanted to take care of baby blobs, dragons and vampires? Well, now you have the chance to experience what it would be like to watch monsters in Daycare Nightmare. Daycare Nightmare is a time management game with a cute twist. Daycare Nightmare

You found yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time. It was a slow day in the bakery when a mom and her baby walked in. This was not a normal mom and baby, though, they were monsters. The mom gets a call from her work and is in a predicament: she has no one to watch her baby. In exchange for your life, you agree to watch her baby. Unfortunately that is not good enough, she calls her friends.

So you are now in the daycare business and you have to watch baby monsters. Each monster has a different temperament, like every time management game. The vampire babies have short tempers and if they get mad they bite you. Once bitten, you move slowly for a bit. There are also ghost babies that scare other children when they are upset and dragon babies that burn other kids and anything else near the fire when they are upset.

Screenshot casual game daycare nightmareThe tasks to perform in the game are your typical daycare tasks. You have to make sure each monster’s needs are met, such as feeding, changing their diaper, playing and sleeping. The sooner you meet their needs the happier they get. The happier they are when their parents come, the more money you make in tips.

As the levels progress, the monsters come to you less and less happy. There is only one happiness meter, which gages the overall happiness of the monsters. The happier everyone is the higher the meter. The meter goes down when the monsters are unhappy. It takes longer to get the happy meter up as you progress through levels. Unhappy monsters tend to fight more so you wan the happy meter to be high.

All of the money you get from tips can be spent on upgrades for your daycare. You can buy the normal items such as more high chairs and cribs, but there are also items that reduce fighting and allow babies to eat, sleep and play faster. Some of the upgrades are really expensive, for instance a second highchair cost $900. Not everything is that expensive.

The graphics in the game are good. There are multiple daycare places you end up watching the kids at because each old place ends up getting too small. Each of the daycare places are neat looking.

Over all I found Daycare Nightmare really fun to play. I liked the twist of little baby monsters and it made the game interesting. I liked the ramifications of each baby’s temperaments. I also enjoy saving money to upgrade items that give me bonuses. Upgrades give you items to strive for and allow you to make decisions on what to get first.

The9 Limited is a leader in online game operator. The9 entered and agreement with Yedang Entertainment, one of Korea’s top game publishers, and T3 Entertainment, a leader in online game development in Korea. The deal is for an exclusive license to operate Audition in Mainland China, Korea and Macau.Audition

Audition is an online casual dance game and as of right now, the most popular game in Mainland China. The way it works is the player hits arrows on they keyboard in the order they see them displayed on the screen. The avatar on the screen dances to the steps the player hit. As your dancing you can receive perfects for doing the move perfectly. If you obtain two perfects in a row, you get to throw rings at your opponent while they dance. If you get a yellow ring while dancing, you lose points as long as the ring is there.

It sounds like Audition is similar, in popularity, to Blizzard’s World of Warcraft. There is a US client available for the game as well. The popularity has increased in the US thanks to commercials on MTV. If you would like to check out the game, you can find it here.

Audition sounds like an interesting game to play. I think I will be checking it out to see if the game is as good as it sounds.
